The long-running CW series The Flash is coming to an end after nine seasons. In the episode, ‘A New World Part One,’ Iris (Candice Patton) receives news of a career milestone and finds that Barry (Grant Gustin) is suddenly gone, nowhere to be found.
As seen in the video above, Gustin hung up his superhero costume for the last time.
When not on the set of The Flash, Gustin spends time at home and often entertains his millions of followers on Instagram with selfies and videos.
When he shared the video above, of him shaving his beard off, he captioned it: “goodbye for now beard…” Fans are reading the shaving as a good sign for Gustin and his career moving forward post-Flash. As one replied: “Typically clean shaven Grant means good things are coming.”
Note: In the video, Gustin kept the mustache (“for about 3 minutes”), hence, the Magnum, P.I. theme song. One of the most famous mustached Hollywood actors, Tom Selleck (Blue Bloods), rocked a bushy mustache when he played the Ferrari-driving private detective on TV.
The Flash airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on CW, right before the network’s other popular series that is coming to an end, Riverdale, at 9 pm, starring Lili Reinhart (Betty) and Camila Mendes (Veronica).
