Sen. John Fetterman appears in his regulation long shorts and casual attire as he delivers a comic turn to combat some rumors circulated by the “fringy fringies.” Conspiracy theorists like nothing better than a body double rumor, and Fetterman has been victimized by just that innuendo.
With Fetterman in the hospital for depression treatment, some on reality’s fringe started to float word that the unique-looking Pennsylvania lawmaker had a doppelganger in place — so that while he was down and out his agenda could still be executed.

Not even the fact that this alleged Fetterman body double was nowhere to be seen during Fetterman’s convalescence stopped the rumor. As with all conspiracy theories, the fact that it didn’t fit tightly together only enhanced its appeal.
That music in the background is the perennial hit “Just The Two of Us” by the late great Grover Washington, Jr., a saxophone legend and honorary Pennsylvanian for his deep love of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. The late great Bill Withers provides the vocals for the slow jazz classic.
