NBA superstar Russell Westbrook is heading toward a glorious reunion with the city of Los Angeles, and he looks like the happiest man on the planet about the whole scene. A nine-time NBA All-Star and former NBA MVP — not to mention the king of the triple-double stat category — Westbrook returns to where he played his college ball at UCLA.
The Long Beach, California-born Westbrook will join LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony as he suits up in the famous purple and gold of the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2021-22 NBA season. But Russ couldn’t wait to put on his purple, you know. Check him out in his satin-y purple pants below, swole muscles just bulging out of his shirt and smile as big as his ripped arms.
Fans in the comments were less mystified about these pics of Russ than the pics he shared earlier in the week, of him skirted up on the streets of NYC. (But he still looked like a physical beast, ready to dunk on anybody who might try him.)
Then again, Russ always seems to be a step ahead of the times and his critics — the skirt pics got twice as many likes as the purple pants. Could be people just want to see Russ wearing the purple Lakers shorts already!

There are even some diehard Lakers-haters out there softening up their feelings because of the greatness of Westbrook. Meanwhile Lakers fans rejoice.
