Lauren Spencer is one of many singers auditioning for American Idol this season — but this talented teen brings a lot of stage experience — and experience with Idol judges — along with her. In 2015, at the age of 11, Lauren sang the Adele/Bob Dylan song “Make You Feel My Love” with former American Idol judge Keith Urban.
In the video below, Urban explains on stage that the festival runs a competition and when he heard Lauren’s voice he said, “I just wanted to sing with her so much.”
The performance took place at the annual SunFest Country festival and in front of 20,000 fans. Spencer writes: “to this day is one of the best moments of my life!!!”
The video on YouTube has more than 3.9 million views. At the end of the duet, Urban claps and repeats her name to the audience, “Lauren Spencer-Smith, you’ll hear more from her!”
That’s not Lauren’s only video to go viral. When the 16-year-old sang the Lady Gaga song “Always Remember Us This Way” from A Star Is Born with her dad in their truck, more than 2.1 million people watched. She has more than 181,000 subscribers on YouTube!
