One fan was surprised at KKW’s lack of next-thing-now consumerism in a recent post with one of her kids, noting that Kardashian wasn’t using the latest iPhone. It seems Kim is happy with her iPhone 8 — which is a couple of iPhone generations ago.
We’re pretty sure, first of all, that this is not her only phone. But that said, a commenter drew attention to it, writing: “You still have an iPhone 8 get an iPhone 11.” Kardashian’s iPhone 8 must make anybody who spent good money on an upgrade feel a little foolish — if the iPhone 8 is good enough for Kim Kardashian, who needs more?
But while the comment drew 150+ likes — Apple Chief and Kardashian friend Tim Cook not noticeably among them — it also drew plenty of replies, starting a debate. Top of the list is a comment attesting “I still own a 6+ and I love it.” Take that, crazed Apple consumers! Another advises the user to get a “grip she can use whatever phone she wants.”
