Inside the NFL returns to Showtime on Tuesday, September 3 at 9 pm. Host James Brown and analysts Phil Simms, Boomer Esiason and Ray Lewis will provide an overview of what to expect during the 2019 NFL season.
The 63-year-old Simms doesn’t just look to the future, but he also reminisces about the past. Get ready for the two-time Super Bowl champ to relive more New York Giants Coach Bill Parcells stories like the one in the video below — where Simms preaches like a pastor at the pulpit.

Simms perhaps isn’t the most eloquent preacher — his passionate speech is often riddled with incomplete sentences — but this is what he says: “Bill Parcells was the biggest risk taker there was” and that when Simms was playing, during playoff games, they executed “fake punts, fake field goals and all that other stuff.”
Simms said Parcells told him, “Simms, you can’t be afraid to go down in flames.” Simms’s point is that a team has to “do all things to make it to the playoffs.” [Current Amazon Prime members can stream CBS, Showtime, and other shows through Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV stick, or Amazon Video app.]
