Two stars from The Cosby Show are in the Lifetime movie Pride and Prejudice Atlanta, a modern take on the Jane Austen novel Pride and Prejudice. Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played the adorable Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, is playing Caroline, a snobby and vain single woman who wants to marry the tall, handsome and rich Will Darcy (Juan Antonio).
Carl Anthony Payne II, who played Theo Huxtable’s scene-stealing best friend Cockroach on The Cosby Show, is playing pompous clergyman Collins, who comes to Atlanta to pick out a wife. Things get messy.

Payne, who says the character Collins is “some of my best work yet,” is also well known for his role as Martin’s best friend Cole on Martin with Martin Lawrence. He also played music producer L.A. Reid in the 2013 VH1 TV movie Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story. Payne is also a stand-up comedian. Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, June 1 at 8 pm.
