In the Hallmark Channel movie Sailing Into Love, biology teacher Claire Richards (Leah Renee) lives in the sweet coastal town of Willow Bay. On a picture perfect day, she takes her class to Blue Island, an uninhabited island near Willow Bay.
When she and her class discover land surveyors on Blue Island, she is not happy to learn that the island is up for sale, and that a developer is planning to build a resort on the island. Claire fights the good fight and right by her side is her former boyfriend, boat captain Tom Hastings (Chris McNally). And yes they fall in love.

Sailing Into Love was filmed in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia on the southern end of Vancouver Island in Canada. Hastings says, “It’s a super charming little town.” Victoria is a major tourism destination with over 3.5 million overnight visitors per year. It’s known for its many National Historic Sites including the Fisgard Lighthouse which is featured in the film.
Blue Island could be one of the 28 islands currently for sale in British Columbia. Sailing Into Love premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, May 18 at 9 pm. [NOTE: Here’s a bunch of Hallmark movies streaming on Amazon with free trial.]
