While NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal gets ready to watch the NBA Finals after a long season as a commentator on TNT, his son Shareef O’Neal is making a comeback.
The 6’9” college basketball player at UCLA (#22) underwent open heart surgery in December after being diagnosed with a heart condition in September. In March 2019, the UCLA freshman announced that he’s been medically cleared to return to the court.

Shareef was recently photographed in the gym wearing his “fav shirt” which features his 17-year-old sister Amirah O’Neal aka Mimi. She’s a basketball player too. She’s listed at 6’2″ and plays ball at Shareef’s alma mater Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California.
In her freshman year, she averaged 26 points per game. Shareef wrote: “I know some girls including my sisters that will still give 30 on they worst days… shoutout to all the Girl hoopers!”
