Superstar Selena Gomez just dropped new pics of her Puma drip delivering new streetwear that suits both Gomez and the great history of Puma, the progenitor of sneaker cool. Gomez shows off her latest in a gram that features her super casual in all black with mid-riff bared, just the way her fans like it.
The Gomez Puma top is loose-fitting and off the shoulder with elbow-length sleeves. The pants are just below capri-length — they gather above the ankle and have a tall zipper to the knee. Gomez appears to be posing at an airport, or some other public venue, standing atop some metal seating and staring into the camera.
For the kind of sneakerheads who travel beyond the Jordan brand, Gomez’s fresh kicks are what draw attention. The white with black Puma stripe sneaks are classic Pumas, styled after the coolest of all sneakers — the legendary Puma Clyde.
The Clyde was named after NBA legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier, the daring fashion icon of the 1970s when he played and partied in New York as a member of the world championship New York Knicks. (The Clyde, coming long before Air Jordan, was the first sneaker named for an NBA basketball player.)

Gomez’s contemporary kicks use velcro straps instead of laces, a fitting touch for a well-chosen brand ambassador with such a style-rich legacy. Selena Gomez gets her virtual Clyde on here with her own imprint. It’s streetwear magic.
