The feather-backed, midriff-baring gown for the night on the town was blue. The wig matched perfectly. And Kylie Jenner must have suspected that the blue color may have matched the moods of her fans who, unlike her and her glam set, weren’t invited to the absolutely fabulous Met Gala this year. (Or, let’s face it, ever.)

So Kylie, knowing her fans wanted to see a little more than just the paparazzi pics from those famous Manhattan museum steps, did her uninvited fans a favor. She delivered a little taste of up-close Kylie glam. For some fans it was enough to wipe away those not-invited blues.

She’s mostly focused on her top, as you’ll see, trying to get as many angles as she can. The fans reacted. “Mermaids really do exist!” wrote one. Another complimented her wig — “I love when you wear colored wigs!” The blue ensemble used in the selfie was for the “After Party.” Now that’s the insider stuff.
