On the American Housewife episode “Liar Liar, Room on Fire”, Katie (Katy Mixon) forgets her husband Greg’s (Diedrich Bader) birthday. She tries to make up for it by pulling together a last-minute dinner party at their home. But when the evening falls flat, Katie gets caught up in a series of lies, leading her friends – including Angela (Carly Hughes) to believe that she and Greg are in marriage counseling.
Angela’s girlfriend Crissy is portrayed by Vanessa Lachey. The former Miss Teen USA (1998) is known as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and a host of Total Request Live on MTV. As an actress she’s known for her roles on Truth Be Told (Tracy), Dads (Camilla), and The Bold and the Beautiful (Amanda Wexler), among others. Fun fact: She and her husband Nick Lachey competed against each other on Dancing with the Stars in 2017 (Season 25). American Housewife airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before The Kids Are Alright.
