WeatherTech is known for making all-weather floor liners and mats for the interior of cars and trucks. It’s using its (very expensive) 45 seconds of national TV air time during Super Bowl LIII (Sunday, February 3) to promote its new business, PetComfort. (WeatherTech has been buying Super Bowl commercials since 2014.)
The Made in USA manufacturing company headquartered in Bolingbrook, Illinois is crossing over into the lucrative pet industry with its line of stainless steel pet bowls which are 100 percent non-toxic, mercury free, lead free, and certified by the National Science Foundation (NSF). As the voice over says in the ad, “The WeatherTech floor liner has changed the way that vehicle floors are protected. And now we’ve changed the way to keep your pet safe.” Fun fact: That’s WeatherTech CEO David McNeil in the ad and that golden retriever is his real pet, Scout.
