In the Chicago Fire episode “You Choose,” while Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) side project of fixing the boat for a wealthy acquaintance turns south, his relationship with Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) unwinds and everyone at Firehouse 51 walks on eggshells around them. Things lighten up when everyone goes to the bar to unwind including Chaplain Kyle Sheffield, who replaced the beloved Chaplain Orlovsky (Gordon Clapp) when he retired. Kyle and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) share a private moment over a couple of beers.
[Sears was also in the family movie Firehouse Dog]
The new chaplain on Chicago Fire Kyle Sheffield is portrayed by Teddy Sears. The 6’4″ actor is known for his roles on The Flash (villain Jay Garrick aka Hunter Zolomon aka Zoom), 24: Legacy (Keith Mullins), Masters of Sex (Dr. Austin Langham), American Horror Story (Patrick), The Defenders (ADA Thomas Cole), and Raising the Bar (Richard Patrick Woolsley), among others. Fun fact: Sears also played Batman and Blind Justice repeatedly on Late Show with David Letterman in 2005. Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on NBC, right after Chicago Med and right before Chicago P.D.
If you were hoping to see Teddy Sears make a return to the @CW_TheFlash I am afraid we have bad news as we got confirmation that the actor will not be making any additional appearances on the show. pic.twitter.com/KmDhOmQoRZ
