The very first winner of America’s Got Talent, Bianca Ryan (Season 1, 2006), is returning to the AGT stage for a comeback. The 24-year-old singer is one of the lucky 50 acts who have been invited back for the talent show spin-off America’s Got Talent: The Champions (beginning January 7). After performing for judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, every week, two of the 10 performing acts will move on to the finals—one will receive a Golden Buzzer, and one will be voted through by a panel of AGT Superfans.
Bianca was just 11 when she won AGT. A lot has happened since then. After releasing her self-titled debut album (see link below), she had to put everything on hold when she was told that she was at high risk for esophageal cancer. In 2016, she underwent two vocal surgeries and an abdominal surgery. Her recovery went well and she’s ready for her second chance on AGT. For the premiere, she will perform her song “Say Something.”
Bianca has also become an entrepreneur as a young woman. In December 2018, she launched her very own cosmetics company, a line of lipsticks called Ciao Bianca. Some of the 23 shades are named after her songs including “Alice” and “One Day.” America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Mondays at 8 pm on NBC.
