On the Married to Medicine episode “Bottled Up Emotions,” realizing her baby is growing up, married mother of two Mariah Huq surprises her 14-year-old daughter Lauren-Taylor Huq with a wardrobe makeover. This isn’t Lauren’s first time on the show. Earlier this season, Mariah had OB/GYN Dr. Simone Whitmore talk about the birds and bees with Lauren. Like all young teenagers — Lauren is a freshman in high school — she was uncomfortable during the conversation but muscled through it.
On Married to Medicine, Mariah has said that she’s worried about her daughter being so small, just like her mama. When Mariah graduated from high school she was 88 lbs. and dorky. “Guys were not knocking my door down,” admits Mariah. However, Mariah’s mother had her taking birth control pills when she was Lauren’s age for fear of Mariah getting pregnant. Mariah tells Lauren, “I don’t think you’re ready for that,” and Lauren agrees. But it does look like Lauren is ready for high heels — see cute photo below.
