On the Teen Mom OG episode “Roll With the Punches,” while Amber Portwood travels to Los Angeles for a charity boxing event, Maci Bookout takes the kids to Texas to visit Taylor’s family, and Catelynn Lowell is about to leave her family for a two-day business trip. She’s been asked to speak on a TV show about adoption (an invitation she’s accepted) but she’s worried that her daughter Nova will “freak out when I leave.” Catelynn has good reason to be concerned but she doesn’t seem very prepared. When her husband Tyler asks if she’s given thought to how she’s going to depart (aka tell Nova), she says “No, I have not.” Tyler isn’t pleased. He mentions Nova’s separation anxiety. He says when Catelynn’s away, sometimes it’s difficult to get Nova to go the store. “She trips, dude,” Tyler tells Catelynn.
Catelynn is aware of Nova’s issues, so she doesn’t waste anymore time and tells Nova that she has to go away for two days. Nova responds by jerking up and down and repeats “no, no, no, no, no.” When Nova calms down, Tyler suggests that Catelynn fill out her couples counseling paper work while at the hotel. “A lot of things to work on, obviously.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9 pm on MTV.
