Richard Sherman may need to earn his bona fides yet again by either inspiring his teammates (read Ahkello Witherspoon) to stop the dynamic Tyreek Hill or sliding over and doing something about Hill himself. To say Sherman may not want the assignment is no knock — an honest poll (good luck with that) among NFL corners would tell you nobody wants to cover Hill. He’s a monster and he’s out to make you look bad even if, like Sherman, you’re headed to the Hall of Fame.
At least nobody has the actual assignment when Hill takes a punt or kick return the other way. Then it really is the whole team’s responsibility to stop him — and to do it the Niners better put the “special” in Special Teams.
