In the Code Black episode “La Familia,” everyone at Angels Memorial deals with a family issue. While Willis (Rob Lowe) confides in Rox (Moon Bloodgood) about his brother who died in Afghanistan, Jesse (Luis Guzman) is worried sick when his brother Jose (Efrain Figueroa) is brought in after being pinned in a building collapse. On a less dire note, Dr. Leeann Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) tries to have a conversation with her soon-to-be adopted daughter Ariel, who’s angst-ridden and working at the hospital as a candy striper.

Candy Striper Ariel is portrayed by Emily Alyn Lind. The 18-year-old is also known for her roles on Revenge (young Amanda Clarke), All My Children (Emma Lavery), Eastwick (Emily Gardener), and in the films J. Edgar (Shirley Temple) and The Secret Life of Bees (Young Lily/Dakota Fanning), among others. Code Black airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS.
