Vote, vote, vote. It’s down to the Top 7 contestants on American Idol. So your vote at home means more now than ever. Below is the critical info on how to vote for the American Idol Top 7 live in real time as it happens — from coast to coast! — at the same time (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:01 p.m. PDT). On Sunday, May 6, the Top 7 aspiring stars will perform two songs — one from Prince’s massive catalog, and another from the year they were born. At the end of the night, two will go home. The Top 5 will perform next Sunday, on May 13 (Mother’s Day!).
Rock star Cade Foehner is the oldest at 22! He’s singing Prince’s funky pop hit by The Time “Jungle Love” and Jewel’s “Who Can Save Your Soul”. Catie Turner and Maddie Poppe are the youngest at 18! Catie will have fun with the Prince song “Manic Monday” made popular by The Bangles and “Oops!… I Did It Again” by Britney Spears. Maddie will take on the Prince love ballad sung by Sinead O’Conner, “Nothing Compares 2 U” and Sheryl Crow’s “If It Makes You Happy.”
