In the Chicago Fire episode “Put White on Me,” after Boden (Eamonn Walker) has a lapse in judgment in the aftermath of rescuing a young boy, he asks Otis (Yuriy Sardarov) to take a desk job at the firehouse. On a more personal note, Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) receives a surprise visitor at the firehouse. It’s his mother, Jennifer Sheridan, who looks more like his sister! He’s happy to see her until she answers his question, “What are you doing here?” She says, ‘I’m moving in with you!” To make matters more awkward, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) struggles to win Jennifer’s approval.
Jennifer Sheridan is portrayed by Kim Delaney. She’s known for her roles on Army Wives (Claudia Joy Holden), The O.C. (Rebecca Bloom), NYPD Blue (Det. Diane Russell), CSI: Miami (Megan Donner), Philly (Kathleen Maguire), Tour of Duty (Alex Devlin), L.A. Law (Leslie Kleinberg), and All My Children (Jenny Gardner Nelson), among others. Chicago Fire airs Thursdays at 10pm on NBC.
