In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “The Puzzle Master,” while Gina (Stephanie Beatriz) helps Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) fix his Commissioner candidate speech, Jake (Andy Samberg) surprises his future wife Amy (Melissa Fumero) with an investigation into a string of arsons connected to her favorite crossword puzzle maker, Vin Stermley. Jake did not expect Vin to be so handsome and fit. And yes, Jake gets jealous.

Vin Stermley is portrayed by David Fumero, yes, Melissa Fumero’s real life husband! The Cuban-born actor is known for his roles on Power (Mike Sandoval), One Life to Live (Cristian Vega), and as the kidnapper in the 1997 Mariah Carey video “Honey” (see below). Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays at 8:30pm on FOX, right after The Simpsons and right before Family Guy.
