In the black-ish episode “Sugar Daddy,” Dre (Anthony Anderson) and his doctor wife Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) get all dressed up to go to the Stevens & Lido holiday party. During the party “things come to a head” and Bow is concerned about Dre’s health. Turns out, he has Type 2 Diabetes. While he’s resolved to cure himself (thanks to a conversation with his father), Bow takes him to see a doctor anyway. The mustached medicine man is portrayed by Paul F. Tompkins.
