On December 11, the Top 8 artists on The Voice Season 13 will perform. To make things more interesting, the artists team up for competitive mashup duets. The two artists left on Team Adam will compete against two of Team Blake’s artists. Addison Agen (Adam) and Keisha Renee (Blake) will sing the classic Sheryl Crow song “Strong Enough”, and Adam Cunningham (Adam) and Red Marlow (Blake) will sing The Marshall Tucker Band song “Can’t You See.” The two songs are good picks for all four artists. And the song selection is notable as they’re both about heartbreak — and this round on The Voice is going to bring heartbreak to some.

“Can’t You See” is probably The Marshall Tucker Band’s most popular song. Since it was released in 1973, several singers have covered it including Waylon Jennings (1976) and Zac Brown Band with Kid Rock (2010). The song is noted for the incorporation of the flute at the beginning and end of the song, played by band member Jerry Eubanks. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
