Gathered in the White House for a photo op with US Military leadership, President Donald Trump volunteered his thoughts on what the gathering signified. “You guys know what this represents?” the president asked reporters and photographers at the event. “Maybe it’s the calm before the storm,” he said.
When reporters followed up with questions — did he mean Iran? What storm was he talking about? — Trump replied mysteriously: “You’ll find out.” Trump said “We’ve got the world’s great military people in this room — I will tell you that.” Trump has said recently that he would “totally destroy” North Korea and “little Rocket Man,” the name he uses for North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Trump also announced that he will send the Iran nuclear deal back to congress to determine if the US should continue to comply with its terms.
