Angelina Hale is the amazing 9-year-old singer who overcame a near fatal case of pneumonia before auditioning for Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. After Angelina sang Andra Day’s “Rise Up” for her audition, guest judge Chris Hardwick hit the Golden Buzzer and called Angelina “The Chosen One.” For her Live Shows performance, Angelina sang the Zedd song “Clarity” and wowed everyone in the Dolby Theater. All four judges gave the powerful, petite singer a standing ovation.
Hale sang the adult song like she meant every word including the line “You are the piece of me, I wish I didn’t need” while wearing an adorable pink dress with swans on it. And she hit the glass-shattering high notes at the end of “Clarity” like Mariah Carey, the woman who has a rare 5-octave vocal range (G#2-G#7). America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
