It’s time for the Los Angeles City Finals on American Ninja Warrior. The top 30 competitors from the L.A. qualifiers will face the finals course which includes the Salmon Ladder, Stair Hopper, Swinging Peg Board and Elevator Climb. Fan favorites include Grant McCartney aka Island Ninja. This guy trains by doing burpees underwater (video below) and tugging boats (another video below). He also likes cliff diving.
One week before the L.A. Finals, Grant completed his first double gainer but didn’t totally nail the landing. He chipped three teeth by landing on his face. See below. “Sometimes you got to pay to play. Never give up,” he wrote after the fall. American Ninja Warrior airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC.
