On the premiere episode of The Gong Show starring Mike Myers as British TV host Tommy Maitland, a handful of unique acts will perform. One involves Mary Bleeds, a woman who puts a live tarantula in her mouth and then plays music on a harmonica. Another features a married couple who likes to spit banana chunks at each other (and the judges). One of the most agile acts on the episode is Unipiper, a unicycler who plays flaming bagpipes while dressed in a yeti suit. This isn’t the Unipiper’s first time on national TV.
The Unipiper (born Brian Kidd) of Portland, Oregon auditioned on America’s Got Talent in 2015 (Season 10) but didn’t advance. Maybe the AGT judges didn’t fancy his Uncle Sam costume (video below). Maybe The Unipiper should have worn his Darth Vader costume. Check him out as Luke’s father while walking his dog in downtown Portland. The Gong Show airs Thursdays at 10pm on ABC.
