Bonnie-Jill Laflin is making her debut on Season 6 of Basketball Wives. This isn’t Bonnie-Jill’s first time on television — she was an actress (Baywatch, Ally McBeal) — and isn’t shy performing in front of big audiences. She was a professional cheerleader for the NBA Golden State Warriors, and for two NFL teams — the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. She knows the game and business of professional sports, and all the drama behind the scenes. She made history in the NBA by becoming the league’s first female scout (Los Angeles Lakers).
Bonnie-Jill, 41, is currently dating retired Los Angeles player Kareem Rush, 36. Rush played at the University of Missouri before entering the 2002 NBA draft and was selected by the Toronto Raptors who traded his rights to the Los Angeles Lakers. Kareem went on to play for the Charlotte Bobcats, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Los Angeles Clippers before joining the Los Angeles D-Fenders in 2012. He retired from basketball in 2014. Kareem Rush is the brother of Brandon Rush who plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves) and JaRon who played at UCLA. Kareem is working on a men’s clothing line; see below. Basketball Wives airs Mondays at 9pm on VH1.
