“Stronger than I was accustomed to,” is how Dave Chappelle described the weed that got him booed in Detroit in 2015. He was hanging out with rappers before the show that night, he confessed in one of his new Netflix standup specials. “I don’t know if you know anything about hanging out with rappers, but their weed is very strong.”
So who were these rappers? Well one in particular is the very proud Detroit rapper Danny Brown, a highly original artist who took the opportunity to brag “Momma I made it!” after Chappelle’s funny confession about Brown getting him “stoned to the gills.” Here’s a few Danny Brown videos to check out the man’s style.
