Celebrity stylist April Roomet returns to The Rap Game to help this season’s group of young rappers discover their individual styles. On the episode ‘Poncho vs. Dashiki’, Roomet shows up rocking a Rosie the Riveter look (denim shirt, hair wrapped up in bandana, bright red lipstick). In one scene she works with Tally, the white rapper on the show who is consistently compared to Iggy Azalea. Jermaine Dupri suggests that Tally cut her long blonde hair, but Tally resists.
April Roomet, a former model, is now the owner of Wardrobe Department, a boutique in Los Angeles. She’s styled tons of celebrities over the years including Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Lauren Hill, Nas, Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beatz, and Young Jeezy, among others. Roomet is the mother of Jordan Beckford, son of model/actor Tyson Beckford (photos below). The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
