In the Lifetime movie Mommy, I Didn’t Do It, 17-year-old Julie Plainview (Paige Searcy) is accused of murdering her teacher with whom she allegedly was having an affair. It’s up to Julie’s mother Ellen (Danica McKellar) to prove her daughter’s innocence. Ellen has experience with false accusations — she had to fight her way out of one in the 2013 film The Wrong Woman. Ellen hopes to get the help of J.D. Pierce.
J.D. Pierce is portrayed by George Wendt. He’s best known for his role as Norm Peterson on the legendary TV sitcom Cheers. Since then he’s appeared on several TV shows including his own The George Wendt Show, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (Mike Shelby), Saturday Night Live (Da Bears fan Bob Swerski), and in the classic 1985 film Fletch with Chevy Chase (Fat Sam). Mommy, I Didn’t Do It premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, January 1 at 8pm.
