In the Speechless episode ‘C-H-O-CHOIR,’ the DiMeos’ Christmas is in jeopardy when the family van is stolen with all their holiday gifts inside. Meanwhile, JJ (Micah Fowler) decides to join the school choir when he gets a look at Miss Bloom, the new teacher hired to lead the group. JJ and his brother Ray (Mason Cook) battle it out to win the coveted solo.
Miss Bloom is portrayed by professional dancer Julianne Hough of Dancing with the Stars fame. As an actress, Hough is recognized for her roles on the TV special Grease Live! (Sandy), and in the films Dirty Grandpa (Meredith), Safe Haven (Katie), Rock of Ages (Sherrie Christian), Footloose (Ariel), and Burlesque (Georgia). Speechless airs Wednesdays at 8:30pm on ABC.
