On the Teen Mom OG season finale episode ‘I Do!’, while Amber Portwood undergoes her mommy makeover plastic surgery, Farrah Abraham tries to make more of an effort with her mother Debra. So she and Simon meet up with Debra and her boyfriend David for dinner. It’s the first time Farrah and David meet. When Farrah puts out her hand for a handshake, David does too — but also pulls her close for a hug. When they sit down, Simon tells David, “I think you bring out the best in Debra – she’s nice and calm.” David disagrees, “No, I don’t bring out the best in her. She’s always the best.”
David says he’s watched Teen Mom and he says doing so hurts because he knows Debra. “I think ‘Why are they doing that to her – you know, beating her up.’” He mentions the negativity on the show. Farrah responds by saying, “You know what, I’m not in control of negativity.” David says, “No, no, you are, because you’re the one who says it.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9pm on MTV.
