It’s down to the Top 11 on The Voice, Season 11. Three of the 11 are on Team Miley including 23-year-old Aaron Gibson of Atlanta, Georgia. (The other two are Darby Walker and Ali Caldwell.) Compared to Team Adam’s former child star Billy Gilman, Aaron started singing at a late age. He started hitting open mics at the age of 18. Aaron has said “I want people to sing along when I get to the mic,” and he found his perfect audience in coach Miley Cyrus. (She’s known to sing along while her mentees perform on stage).

Aaron told his local online paper, AJC.com, that he had a number of odd jobs before making it to The Voice. One of the most memorable is when he worked at Petland. He dressed up in a dog’s costume and danced outside the store, trying to lure passersby into the store. “It was the hottest summer of my life,” says Aaron. “I must have lost 10 pounds in sweat!” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
