On the Hallmark Channel movie Summer Love, Maya is a young widow and a single mom. She recently went back to school and is trying to jump start a career in the tech industry. She takes a summer internship at a tech company but feels like a sore thumb in a sea of younger interns. Both the CEO and CFO of the company take notice of Maya and both try to woo her romantically. As Maya says, “I am so in over my head.”
Maya is portrayed by Rachael Leigh Cook. She’s known for her roles on Perception (Kate Moretti), Psych (Abigail Lytar), Las Vegas (Penny Posin), and in the 1999 film She’s All That with Freddie Prinze Jr. Summer Love premieres on Hallmark on Saturday, August 20 at 9pm. It will air again on August 21 at 5pm, August 27 at 7pm, August 28 at 1pm, and September 24 at 5pm.
