On Hollywood Medium, Tyler Henry visits Whitney Port. The 31-year-old became famous when she was cast in the reality TV show The Hills with fellow Los Angeles natives Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge. After getting her own spin-off series, The City, Port eventually moved to New York to pursue her true passion, fashion. Entering the world of fashion, Whitney followed in her father’s footsteps.

Whitney’s father, Jeffrey Port, was the owner of the apparel company Swarm which manufactured the men’s line Shades of Gray, among others. Jeffrey Port reportedly backed Port’s clothing line Whitney Eve when it launched in 2008. Like Whitney, before fashion called Jeff Port was a bit of a celebrity, too. He was drafted by the LA Dodgers in 1968 and was a member of the USC National Championship teams in 1970, 71, and 72. Jeffrey Port died of kidney cancer in 2013 at the age of 62. On Hollywood Medium, when Tyler asks Whitney for a tangible object, to help him connect with her father, she gives Tyler a pair of her father’s pajama pants which he often wore.
