Vernon Davis played college football at Maryland before he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers sixth overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. At that time, he signed a five-year, $23 million deal, making him the highest paid tight end. In 2015, he was traded to the Denver Broncos, who won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers.
