The American Greed episode “Jersey Car Stealer Dealer” features Afzal “Bobby” Khan, the luxury car salesman who appeared on The Real Housewives of New Jersey in Season 6. (Joe and Melissa Gorga visited Bobby at his Emporio Motor Group in Ramsey, New Jersey on Route 17 to get an estimate for repairs after Melissa got into a fender bender with her Bentley.)
Khan is wanted by the FBI for defrauding customers and banks of more than $1.7 million. Khan is accused of “pocketing 21 car loans and selling cars that aren’t his.” Emporio Motor Group on Route 17 closed in September 2014. The FBI believes he has fled the US and is living in the Middle East (his parents are from Pakistan). In June 2015, Khan was charged with five counts of wire fraud. If/when caught, Khan faces 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. American Greed airs Thursdays at 10pm on CNBC.
