Teenager Sawyer Fredericks won Season 8 of The Voice. With the help of coach Pharrell Williams, Sawyer’s been in the studio recording a number of his original songs. Sawyer’s new album, “A Good Storm”, will be released by Republic Records on May 13. To introduce the album to a giant audience Sawyer will perform one of the songs from the album, “4 Pockets,” on Season 10 of The Voice. Sawyer and Pharrell hope The Voice stage will as good for “A Good Storm” as it was for Sawyer.
With the release of “A Good Storm” comes a tour. In May, Sawyer will be hitting the West Coast (Tucson, Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, etc.). His opening act will be Mia Z from Season 8 of The Voice. She was the bluesy brunette singer from Hyde Park, Pennsylvania who sang in a band with her mom and uncle. (Mia Z was on Team Pharrell, too.) Sawyer will reappear on The Voice on May 3 at 8pm on NBC.
