Bryan Bautista is the only Latino performer who’s made it to the Top 9 on Season 10 of The Voice. He “took a risk” by performing a bachata song on the show, “Promise” by Romeo Santos. Bachata is a genre of Latin American music from the Dominican Republic. America liked Bryan’s star turn. And Bryan’s version of “Promise” hit the top of the Latino iTunes chart.
After the performance, Bryan and his fellow Team Xtina singer Nick Hagelin (who learned the bachata dance on live TV) made a fun video where they call themselves Los Bachateros. In the video, Bryan is driving, Nick is in the passenger seat, when all of a sudden Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield pops up from the back seat and warns Bryan: “Say that word one more time and you’re dead. I will murder you.” Bryan immediately says the word again and lives. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
