In the Once Upon a Time episode “Sisters,” Hades (Greg Germann) wants a future with Zelena (Rebecca Mader) which involves trapping the heroes in the Underworld. When Regina (Lana Parrilla) finds out about his plan, she turns to Cora (Barbara Hershey) for help, to keep Hades away from Zelena. But then Cora reveals a family secret which will involve a flashback including a Young Regina and a Young Zelena.
Young Regina is portrayed by Ava Acres. She’s known for her roles on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Young Rebecca), American Horror Story (Madeline), Fresh Off the Boat (Fake Kate), Mad Men (Susie), and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Katya Belyakov), among others. Acres is also a voice actor who can be heard in the films Happy Feet 2 (Erik), Despicable Me 2, Frozen, and Hotel Transylvania, among others. Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC.
