Wayne Gretzky has always seemed doubly great to certain fans because not only did he manage to change the idea of greatness in hockey but he turned that into a match with Janet Jones. The actress, dancer and Playboy cover model (1987) was among the brightest of 1980s Hollywood luminaries. Jones and The Great One made one of those heavenly celebrity couples that never last — except it has. (After Jones realized that late tennis great and humorist Vitas Gerulaitis was not for her — their engagement broke off in 1987, near when she started dating Gretzky.)
Jones and Gretzky married in 1988 and have five children, some of whom really really like Instagram. But just because model daughter Paulina Gretzky will do seemingly anything while the camera is pointed at her doesn’t mean Mom will. The cheerful Wayne smiles mightily, though he seems to turn a little red after the dis.
