Jeremy Lin scored a team-high 18 points and had a +/- of +17 for the Charlotte Hornets, as they defended their home court beating the Heat 96-80. Lin took a remarkable 16 shots in his 26 minutes, clearly deciding to make the most of his time on the floor. (He made 7, shooting 2-of-3 from three.) Kemba Walker shot just 4-of-19 from the field, but the Hornets prevailed. The series between these two teams who both went 48-34 this season is now 2-1, favor Miami.
Jeremy Lin’s playing time is always controversial. The shooting/point guard can light up an arena, but he can also go cold from the field. Lin fans tend to think all he needs are more minutes to find his groove, while others believe if Lin’s not connecting, he’s not a big enough asset — and should make way for more Kemba Walker and Courtney Lee that night. Lin added four assists and a steal while committing no turnovers in Game 3 against Miami.
