On the New Girl episode “The Apartment,” while Cece (Hannah Simone) moves into the loft, and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is confronted by her mean and sexy principal at school (Elizabeth Berkley), Winston arranges to get a new LAPD partner so he doesn’t have to work with Aly (Nasim Pedrad). Winston and his new partner are so happy with the arrangement that they sing a goofy little song about elation (see below).
Winston’s new partner is portrayed by Sam Richardson. He’s best known for his roles on Veep (Richard Splett), Drunk History (Jim Brown), and The Office (Colin, Athlead Employee). Richardson is also recognized for his roles in the films Spy (John), We’re The Millers (TSA Agent), and Horrible Bosses 2
