The day after Cyber Monday has been labelled Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a reminder to bargain shoppers fresh off Cyber Monday’s online purchases that they should remember the less fortunate. The movement raised tens of millions in charitable giving lat year, spurred by the #GivingTuesday hashtag.
But consumers still spend more at the store. Welcome to Cyber Tuesday. Unlike a decade ago when Cyber Monday was initiated, now every day is a “cyber” day — ask your smartphone. Especially this week, which Kohls smartly lumps together as CYBER WEEK. Yup, Cyber Tuesday is just as important to retailers as Cyber Monday, and many are extending deals through Tuesday. Like Kohls, Cricket Wireless, for example, is extending its 50% off on Samsung Galaxy S phones till December 3.
