On NCIS: Los Angeles, Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is determined to find his old partner Mark Ruiz, who disappeared while undercover. Ruiz was buying a bomb when he was last seen. Some of the NCIS crew wonder if Ruiz has become a dirty agent but not Hanna. That’s not to say Hanna doesn’t still carry a beef with Ruiz. Ruiz is guilty of betraying Hanna in the past. But guilty of detonating a bomb and murdering people, no way, says Hanna.
Mark Ruiz is portrayed by Anthony Ruivivar. The handsome Hawaiian-born actor is best known for his roles on Hawaii Five-0 (Marco Reyes), Beauty and the Beast (Agent Henry Knox), Southland (Officer Hank Lucero), Major Crimes (DDA Ozzy Michaels), and Third Watch (Carlos Nieto). Ruivivar is also recognized as the voice of Batman in the animated series Beware the Batman, and as Nighthawk in Marvel’s Avengers Assemble. NCIS: Los Angeles airs Mondays at 10pm on CBS.
