On the Blue Bloods episode “Unsung Heroes,” while Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) tries to track down serial killer Thomas Wilder (Louis Cancelmi), little brother Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) challenges his superior officer during a hostage situation. Good cop Jamie may have all the right reasons for the insubordination, but his boss isn’t going to take it well, even if it does come from a Reagan.
Jamie’s superior officer is Sgt. William Mulvey, who is portrayed by A.J. Buckley. Buckley is best known for his roles on Murder in the First (Marty “Junior” McCormack), Justified (Danny Crowe), Supernatural (Ed Zeddmore), and CSI: NY (Adam Ross). Or you might recognize Buckley’s voice from the animated series Wolverine and the X-Men (Mortimer Toynbee/Toad) or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Pigeon Pete). You can hear him next in the forthcoming Disney/Pixar film The Good Dinosaur (Nash). Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10pm on CBS.
