Who will have the best dance tonight?” Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough dominate the replies. Tracking the comments is significant when you consider that the dancers rely on viewer votes — and that there’s a very high correspondence between viewers who vote and those who comment actively on social media. Facebook fan Vicky Mescher‘s reply sums up perfectly the overwhelming support Bindi’s getting: “Best dance; best choreography, best attitude, best spirit and best performance!” Unofficially about 90% of the comments favor Bindi, meaning the competition may be the young Aussie’s to lose.

While Bindi is the “obvious frontrunner,” according to Facebook poster Tricia Gale, “gotta keep an eye on Andy Grammer. He is the dark horse in this race and Allison is doing wonderful things with him!!!” Inaba, in keeping with her place as a judge, doesn’t predict. But she might be inclined to agree with her followers. Last week she said Bindi showed “incredible artistry, beautiful execution, and she found a whole new side of herself.”
