Christian Audigier, the highly successful French fashion designer best known in the US for his collaboration with Ed Hardy, died on July 9, 2015. He was diagnosed with bone cancer in January. He was 57.
Audigier moved to the US in his early twenties. He worked with big brands including Guess, Levi’s, and Diesel, among others. His claim to fame was promoting the Von Dutch clothing brand. Celebrities including Madonna, Britney Spears and Ashton Kutcher wore the brand. And then Audigier helped Ed Hardy popularize his brand. At his death, Audigier was worth $250 Million. He is survived by his four children.
